I’m Allyn (pronounced Al-LYNN). I hail from the beautiful state of Colorado, where the weather literally changes every five minutes and the Capitol of Panem is supposedly located here (we Colorado-natives are fierce). In 2013, I will finally be getting my BA in English Creative Writing after spending half a decade in school. I eat, sleep, and breathe the written word and have WAY too much fun murdering–I mean editing–other peoples’ work. My writing mantra is to always ask questions; I loathe stories that lack explanations and descriptions, especially with setting. Just because we’ve been through the looking glass and the wardrobe to Narnia a dozen times over, doesn’t mean that these places shouldn’t be described. Period pieces are my Kryptonite; I’ll read anything and everything set in a different time period from my own.

I came west from Virginia twenty years ago and now live in Nevada with wild horses, casinos, and brothels. Despite how exciting that sounds, I’m a pretty boring married mother of three, working full-time up until recently and hopefully soon to regain employment. Poor grammar and punctuation in a bad story doesn’t bother me–I just don’t read it. I mourn, however, when I see what could and should be a good story drown in misplaced commas and apostrophes. I am compelled to help; thus, my association with PTB. I’ve been an editor since 2003, a beta since October 2010, and a PTB mod since January 2011.

Hi, Audra here. I live in Wisconsin and have been here my whole life. The stories are mostly true, everyone walks around with a beer in their hand, and a wedge of cheese on their head. I have a lovely daughter who rolls her eyes every time I mention Twilight. I am currently not working, which leaves plenty of time for my favorite activity: reading. I love to read but hate to write. It makes me sad to read a story that has a great plot, but terrible execution.

I hail from the Great White North– Northern Ontario, Canada, to be specific– where our seasons consist of Winter, Still Winter, More Winter, and Construction. And really, is there a better thing to do on a cold, snowy day than stay in and edit? I’ve been with PTB since May 2009, and am loving every minute of it. I’m joining Monika as a poor post-grad with an Education degree (and a History/English degree as well), and am now in the eternal search of a teaching job. Heard of any? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I live in North Texas and I miss winter. At the moment I’m a preschool teacher and I get to teach things like music and library. I’ve loved reading my whole life. I’ve been writing off and on for much of that time but then in late 2008 I picked up a book called Twilight and, well, its been all downhill since. Suddenly I just had to write about these characters. Now, between Edward and Rob I have no time for a “Real Life.” Whatever that is. I speak three languages-English, Smut, and Sarcasm-and I have a very odd sense of humor.

I’m a thirty-something living in the awesome city of Boston with an unhealthy (but welcome) Twilight obsession. Thankfully, my husband is cool and supportive, and my son is too young to understand yet. That’s good, because I write and read mainly slash stories! Edward, Jacob and Carlisle are my favorites. Jakeward just seems right to me, and come on, do you really think E/C didn’t get it on in the early years pre-Esme? I don’t exactly know where I’m from: I’ve lived in the south, northeast, midwest, northwest and now California! By day, I spend hours of my life staring at a computer screen. By night, I play with my baby girl and all things Twilight. My favorite genre of fanfic these days is E/J slash, but I really love it all and am willing to try anything with plot. I also spend way too much time watching TV with my husband. But a girl’s gotta relax after a hard day at work! Like most other betas, many grammar mistakes make my eyes twitch, so I figured I’d help out those in need with a little bit of the grammar knowledge pounded into my head in middle school.

My name is Lynda, and I’m a betaholic. Actually, I’m really a married mother of two girlies living in Atlantic Canada. I work out of my house in IT, testing websites to make sure they do what they’re intended to do. In 2009, I picked up a book called Twilight, wondering if it was appropriate for my daughter. The rest, as they say, is history. While I don’t write, I do read and beta every spare minute I get. I like to think I beta to help authors better their stories, but, who am I kidding? I was born, raised and currently reside in the Big Apple and can’t imagine living anywhere else. I work full time at a major medical center, go to school mostly full-time where I can usually be found with my nose in a biology book, and have two not-so-little girls. Word confusion and comma splices make my eye twitch. (Your/you’re and loose/lose haunt my dreams) I love the em dash way too much and have been accused of getting people hooked. I took a stab at writing, and I hope to finish my multichap before 2011. I’ve been with PTB for about a year and a half, and I’ve been a mod for the last seven months.

Hey there, I’m Raina (pronounced as reyn-uh if you’re wondering). I’m a stay-at-home mom to three and a military wife (as well as brat), currently residing in Wisconsin. Reading and writing are my passionate indulgences, meaning I’ll do either when I can and will often sneak off to do so. I’m a firm believer that most authors are made, not born. Writing is a learning experience, and I love helping writers learn their craft. To the core, I’m a bit OCD—a defender of the Oxford Comma, spaces around the ellipsis, and all things non-canon, particularly the character Caius Volturi. He can mix up there/their/they’re, forget to use periods and capitalization, and have “breathed” as a dialogue tag, and I’d still love him. The man owns me.
